Honasan launches Reform PH, seeks to create 'new politics'
Former senator leads group of ex-rebels in forming new party
Former Senator Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan launched on Thursday, August 4, a new political party called Reform PH, seeking to create a "new politics" in the country.
Honasan, who is the party's chairman, said that Reform PH is a "broad alliance of reformists" who are tired of the traditional politics of patronage and corruption.
"We believe that it is time for a new kind of politics in our country, a politics that is based on service, integrity, and competence," Honasan said in a statement.
The party's platform includes a commitment to fighting corruption, promoting economic growth, and ensuring social justice.
Honasan said that the party is open to all Filipinos who share its vision of a better future for the country.
